Disney is the most creatively bankrupt studio in Hollywood, more a recycling factory than a studio at this point, so it made sense fans would be alarmed about this possibility when Matthew Vaughn shared his thoughts about remaking Star Wars with new actors as Han, Luke and Leia…but was this mere speculation? Or something deliberate and sinister? My Hollywood spies are on this story, and are ready to reveal what’s really going on here! #disney #starwars #lucasfilm

  1. I don't disagree with Doomcock's theory, but my concern is that so many classic Star Wars fans have noped out at this point that the numbers of vocal opposition won't be there.

  2. Ep Ii: Star Woke and the Attack of the GLAD 😢
Seriously would it be so hard for Disney to come up with an original story of their own? No, wait….

  3. If they are making Star Wars again than they are wasting their time money, Disney failed massively with political messages and much more 🐂💩, the only way Star Wars can be resurrected is if they pass it on to somebody else who knows what they are doing with the most popular movie in history according to Hollywood.

  4. Another soy wars femake sebootquel. Not in least bit interested. It deservedly flop.

  5. I actually don't mind the idea of a remake of Star Wars. One. One remake. Maybe animated, maybe not, but the entire idea is that it takes the first film and ONLY the first film and goes experimental, remaking everything in it from the ground up for a one and done. Everything would be different while following recognizable plot elements and themes. And then they would go back to making Canon stuff as they do with this on the side as a neat enough what-if.

Do I trust Disney to do it well? Not in the slightest. Do I have hope for this? Not remotely. But much like how there were good ideas in episodes of Visions, this isn't a terrible concept. It's just one Hollywood needs to earn our trust for. Good luck with that.

  6. Let them do it. The only entertaining thing Disney seems capable of putting out is it's willingness to throw away their money.

  7. One reason why they might be recasting them might not be a reboot but for their roles in heir to the empire. Just a thought if they really make that into a movie

  8. The problem with Disney remaking SW is Disney making anything

  9. It's never a good idea to remake a beloved movie or series, especially one that still holds up today. Having said that, i would give it a chance if it was done by capable and talented people, but that aint Disney. Disney has straight up desecrated everything Lucasfilm created. Kennedy is a strong argument for post birth abortion. I finally cancelled my Disney plus subscription after that shitfest Ahsoka.

  10. First of all, let me be clear that I'm always highly skeptical of "leaks", especially when it's stuff this outlandish. Reporting on "leaks" has become so popular that I always expect one or two of them to be corporate marketers masquerading as leakers just to stir the hype pot or to gauge customer reception without having to pay for an actual focus group.
On the actual idea of the OT getting remade? No. It'd just lead to Iger being ousted in a hostile takeover. He's a woke retard, but he's not that big of a woke retard. My guess is that this leak is, as I mentioned, just some marketing ploy to get the data of a focus group without paying for a legitimate focus group. Besides, they had their chance to remake the OT witht he Sequels, and look how hard they fucked that up. 7, if flawed, had potential; 8 was a metaphorical attempt at murdering the franchise; 9 was a phoned in attempt to fit the entire Palpatine Returns plot from Legends (which few people liked even then) into a single movie.
On the idea of the OT cast getting new actors and actresses? I'm not wholly opposed to the idea. I liked the portrayal from the guys they got for the Solo movie, the actor they got to digitally replace with Mark Hamill's face did a great job physically portraying Luke in his prime, and video games have done it so much that it's not hard to find soundalikes. So long as they were respectful with the recast, I wouldn't be too upset. And it'd be necessary to do a recast with Leia, anyway (R.I.P. Carrie Fisher).
