KK should be used as an infallible guide to what is crap…
Disney won't properly resurrect Galaxy's Edge or the Galactic Starcruiser Resort. They're too greedy. When Disney bought Lucasfilm, they didn't acquire all the rights to the Star Wars stories or characters. This means Disney would have to pay royalties to George Lucas if they were to use legacy storylines or characters at WDW, Disneyland, or Lucasfilm. That's a big reason why Disney has diverted so far from the source material, and its also the main reason why Disney Star Wars has failed. But do you honestly believe Disney is going to course correct now? Disney has already established a reputation for doubling and tripling down on the Woke agenda across the board, doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. The only thing that can save Disney at this point is for Nelson Peltz to get a sear on the board and call for a vote of no confidence in Bob Iger — and even that may be too late. The House of Mouse may have to crash and burn before anything gets better.

If they were smart (they're not), Disney would turn it into a premium dining theater experience, with Brazilian Steakhouse all you can eat offerings, hula dancers, fire dancers, music, jokes, special effects – everything Ohana could have been, if they had more room. I'd definitely go.

This is the first I have even heard of this place. Wow, it looks like a complete waist of money. Besides, from the outside, the place looks like a “Motel 6”. Dinky rooms and an overkill of neon. I swear from the real photos that the place looks just like a $20 dollar room on the Las Vegas strip. Now it’s going to be laser tag? Who in the hell is going to pay that kind of money for laser tag? O I get it, it’s going to be a convention corporate team building experience. If I were a CEO looking to team build, it would be the last place I would go.
So the only way Disney can use it as a tax write-off is to demolish the entire structure? I’m still trying to get my head around the thought that Disney build a hotel in Florida that cost them as much to build as a large hotel on the Las Vegas strip. Didn’t someone tell them that the emperor had no close? If I owned Disney Stock, I would be really pissed at this point. There is no coming back from this disaster. I am talking about the hotel and the entire WOKE driven agenda. Unless, they are being used as a way for Liberal Democrats to launder United States tax dollar earmarked for Ukraine to be feed back into the U.S. and used for their pork projects. You know, I think U.S. taxpayers paid for this hotel. I think they have been caught by someone and are in panic mode. I think there are Disney personnel who are going to be arrested, stand trial, and go to jail. That unless they turn as a federal witness or flee the Country. The real question is what the Federal Government is going to do with the property after the 2024 places President Trump back in office?

I would bet if the hotel had been themed with the pre Disney Star Wars, it would still be operating today with a year’s long waitlist. But Disney had to make a point. An expensive point.

I’m just wondering why TF anyone would listen to KK when it comes to a park attraction. Especially if there was research that said something very different to what she advised.
Can confirm, I spent a weekend there. The food was absolutely awful (everything was dyed random colors and was sickenly sweet — even the main courses like “steak”), there was nothing really to do but follow the “RPG elements” (meaning awkwardly interact with the LARP staff), and the whole “immersive plot,” while actually an impressive effort, was quashed by the absolute cringe of the whole thing. That said, the real-life mini-games were actually awesome: there was a room with lightsaber and shield laser deflection (which admittedly was rigged so that no one ever lost, and it was a rotating line of 25 people, 5 per column, reminded me of high school sports, but was a great concept), and another was a sort of puzzle game with ten people on the MASSIVE bridge set piece, which was cool aside from the GCN-era graphics. That was the big problem: the whole place relied on a metric f**kton of low-quality screens and graphics. Some of it was impressive, like the “space elevator” you rode up in, which shows the Disney landscape disappearing below you as they say they’re blasting you to orbit, and the large rotunda restaurant that had 280-degree screens almost convincingly displaying Earth from orbit, but much of the “ship” left a lot to be desired, and it just wound up being awkward, cringey, gross, and claustrophobic — and I don’t even have claustrophobia. Plus if you’re a smoker/vaper, forget it since you weren’t allowed to leave and the place was wired up like Vegas. Great idea, absolutely terrible execution.
Edit: finished the video, and honestly, yes, if they turn that whole thing into saber/shield/blaster laser tag, it could be legitimately awesome. Assuming they unf**k the brand of Star Wars

I remember trying to talk to a friend who claimed she and her family aren't rich, while she told me about how she and her family have gone to the Starcruiser, twice, and were planning a THIRD trip.
If you can spend thousands of dollars for a two night stay at a hotel, you're no longer middle class.
