I just finished re-watching the entire original Daredevil series including Defenders. I can't believe how good it is compared to today's crap put out by Marvel. Fisk is such a great villain that is truly terrifying because of his unpredictable temper. Such a well written and acted character. Then there is Frank Castle anger and screwed up moral code that makes him fascinating to watch as soon as he is on screen. Why can't Disney/Marvel create such good content and such great characters anymore? Has wokeness destroyed them?

why is Feige's job safe? How can he allow a show to get that far into production before realizing how bad it is??? Its not as if they've been churning out great stuff, so a bit of oversight was to be expected. Every first year MBA student learns about the “sunk cost fallacy.” It’s an organizational blind spot where people continue throwing good money after bad because they have already spent X amount of dollars on the project. The correct way of looking at these things is to ignore all funds already spent. Those costs are sunk. They’re gone. They can’t come into consideration. The analysis then should be “does spending any additional dollars going forward make this project profitable?” If the answer is no, you scrap it.

I wasn’t going to watch the show anyway. I couldn’t give a single turd about any Marvel projects anymore. They couldn’t have had a more dramatic fall from grace if they tried.
The new NEW Daredevil will start production soon. Pilot show: a blind white guy gets beaten up by a bunch of bad white guys. A black woman races to his defense, defeating the evil bad white guys with her magical vaj. A latina woman also races to save the disabled poor pathetic white guy from the evil bad other white guys and she also fights them with HER magical vaj. An asian woman helps the disabled pathetic simp white guy by using her magica vaj to heal him of his injuries and his blindness… but he turns evil because of the patriarchy so all three women must use their magical vajs to fight and defeat him as well. In the end, the city is cleared of all white guys, evil or otherwise, and all remaining men oc gleefully serve the women in true beta fashion.

A good way to have a female version of the male protagonist would be to not reemplace the guy, but have both hanging together and have the girl as a rookie learning from the more experienced guy.

Netflix doesn't have good quality control. Don't give it undue credit. One Piece was successful because author of the original One Piece retained full creative rights and control over production. He forced Netflix to play by his rules and reshoot anything disrespectful. Same is mostly true for other Netflix breakaway hits. When Netflix has to contend with big names and doesn't have full control, it stays away and a movie or a series turns out better for it. Original Daredevil was in the same category. Netflix had very little to do with it. Basically, the main reason Netflix has any good series at all is because in those cases it has to stay away.
Disney, on the other hand, is very centralized and uniform. Big Brother Mickey oversees pretty much everything and meddles with whatever he can to disastrous results.
