    One thing I love about this song is how it starts out like someone talking to Vash, like its pretty ambiguous, then you can hear the tonal change where it sounds like Vash is responding to the ambiguous singer calling to Vash. Then you can hear distinctly when Knives starts singing, and then the distinction where Vash sings back. Its very distinct, I love the multiple viewpoints

    I haven't seen Trigun (its on my list), but just from this song and its visuals, a story I don't know I suddenly feel like I do.

    Vash has some backstory stuff with lady that makes other guy put an insane bounty on his head, but Vash does nothing like what the bounty/his reputation would lead people to believe. Maybe they were both close to the dismembered lady, but they took her message the wrong way? Vash is scared that his past will catch up to him and force him to do something that would affect the world, but he wants to do it slowly through good acts, so he keeps running. I've got no clue if this is accurate, I'll come back to this comment when ive watched it.
