    This series is insanely good because it keeps you on your toes because of don’t know what’s gonna happen next. Just when you think it’s over for the main character’s it hits you with a WTF!. The mom is scary because how calm she can be like she was part of this life before. Makes you wonder what’s her back story. 🤔

    Still convinced this guy killed before. All that knowledge about boiling the corpse and decomposing it is too sus even if it was because he read and wrote mystery novels.

    It’s a great script and plot. I’m getting used to the animation. Tetsuo is getting in way too deep where I imagine he will slowly change and become corrupted. He’s going to end up becoming a yakuza boss or don eventually. They are definitely going about it smart despite their torture. I feel like they will kill or remove the boss looking for the dead guy

    Gotta ask why our interrogator cut Tetsuo loose if he intended to knife him anyway. Lots easier if your target can't fight back. Guess the stress of the situation got the best of him.

    This anime went way farther than I thought ir was going to be , the international scenes for both the husband and wife that was nuts! Underrated AF 🤯

    I feel like the OST is an underrated aspect of this series. It gives me Higurashi vibes (ironic cause Kenji Kawai who did that score did this too).

    This show is one of the peak this season. The chills in this episode were real the daughter being upstairs not aware how much danger she is in while her parents being interrogated. You can feel the hairs on back of neck stand and chill running trough your spine . Showing how much a normal family would go to protected their child. I don't we got another series quite like this and I love it.

  16. SMD Highlights

    this is the first anime in a very, very, veeeery long time, that cuts out a lot of the manga, yet the cuts make the show better.
    like for example, reika tells us with one sentence "someone asked around at my university about some stalker". that took 4 full pages in the manga.
    when tetsuo is cleaning reikas apartment, 4 pages of a policeman talking to the neighbors and 5 pages of why/how he has to get rid of the smell in the bathroom, were all omitted.
    yes, all that stuff is nice, but no needed.
    this adaptation is laser focused.

    I read a good portion of the manga and they did skip a few things, especially on the last minutes of the episode that actually makes the "Lets work together" idea more sense. Still a pretty good adaption. I recommend reading it. It is pretty intense.

    Yeah this one is pretty exciting so far. I loved the irony of him almost getting "framed" for the murder at the end.

    Wife knowing just from side chatter that it's not a "monolithic organization", that they're in a hurry, and if she stalls for enough time she gets her family out of it. Woman ain't normal, but she's definitely a real one.

    I feel like I never know quite what to expect from this series so far but I’m enjoying every episode and can’t wait for more.
