Paramount realizes that this Star Trek Day finds the franchise at it’s lowest point. In a secret meeting held over the Labor Day weekend, they acknowledged that they have all but utterly destroyed Star Trek, and realize that they CANNOT carry on allowing Secret Hideout to kill Star Trek off. What are they planning to do about it? Here are the details of what allegedly happened at that meeting according to a source! #startrek #startrekday #paramount

  1. Paramount plus is shut down here in Sweden and we got SkyShowtime instead…

  2. I watched you and Nerdrotic's streams back when you were talking about the decline of GoT, how come you haven't done content together for ages now?

  3. A fun fantasy but no, this won't happen. S31 and Academy shows will eventually come out and be woke disasters on a whole new level but the new army of 'fans' will scream and shout in support as usual. More financial ruin for the studio but it they would rather crash and burn than admit defeat.

  4. As long as Paramount and CBS have separate parts of Star Trek and never the twain shall meet (at least 15% if memory serves) there can never be any Star Trek worth watching. A lot of ST-INO but nothing of note or value. I have TOS on BluRay and movies 1-6 on 4K-UHD, and that’s enough for me. I don’t trust anyone at Paramount or CBS to make anything fresh, entertaining, or meaningful. Kurzman is only part of the problem and the problem is shared with many other Studios.

  5. Did anyone read the bob iger article? As I’ve been saying there were no plans to fire Kennedy. Iger wanted Disney to be political. He doesn’t care about stock price because current political thing is to “stakeholder capitalism” esg type crap. Why doesn’t this channel go over the iger article? Is it too long to read? It shouldn’t be since Disney is a primary focus of this channel.

  6. I actually liked Strange new Worlds and Lower decks. That being said, the other ones were abysmal. I'm not a die hard fan though, so inaccuracies don't trigger me at all.

  7. Everything that has happened so far, in regards to the IP Destruction across the board, reminds me of how the Titanic went down, with the Exception of the Following
1 It was during the Day
2 It was Bright as Bright could be
3 The LookOuts had the Binoculars and a Huge Spotters Scope
4 They saw the Iceberg in time to Circle it a dozen times over
5 They SCREAMED and YELLED that it was Dead ahead
6 Everyone could see it with lots of time to adjust the course safely
The Captain IGNORED EVERYONE, even though he saw it with his own eyes, and the Satellite Navigation told him AVOID AVOID!, and he said FULL STEAM AHEAD anyways.

  8. Kurtzman is the same as KK, both have destroyed priceless cultural iconic IP.

  9. Thing is….the fans generally will suck down anything with the Trek label on ‘em. I have friends who’ve said they hate the new stuff. I’ll say “then don’t watch.” They generally say something like, “but if I don’t watch it, it’ll go away.”

  10. Well Doomcock, had you not made this channel, you would have never had the amount of minions you have now

  11. I would think if they could bring back Rene Escavara who was a writer and head writer on next generation and later show runner deep space nine. Rene would be my choice to fix Star Trek

  12. I'm one of the kids that grew up on ST TNG and all the other Berman – Braga productions.
I loved that era, but S T is dead to me. Kurtzman killed it.
He turn Captain Picard into a week old man who was dressed down by pink hair feminists in space.
IMO there is no way to revive this destroyed franchise, nor do I care if they do.

  13. The only thing left is schadenfreud at Kurtzman going down in flames. Then we can cover over the grave and let Star Trek rest for a while.

  14. I hate Krustmans Trek and I will celebrate the day he is gone but if him being gone means that they are just going to reboot the whole thing and wipe out all of TOS and Next Gen and Voyager DS9 then I rather it just be done don’t make anymore Trek let it rest and that sucks I want more but not of the shit we have been handed since Discovery

  15. I wouldn’t include Matalas in this. Picard season 3 was great Star Trek.

  16. I’m very impressed with Strange new Worlds it’s about the adventure and more of letting fans see more of the StarTrek Universe and not about one egocentric character and his childhood trauma and his frustration not being able to play musical instrument have been enjoying lower decks too and letting us see more about the Star Trek Universe

  17. It’s sad that “Lower Decks”Trek is closer to Roddenbury’s vision than Kurtsman Trek🤔👎

  18. Doom your right about all the Kurtzman Trek except PS3. That is the reason that trek might be saved. I like your channel but you are finally testing my faith in following you.

  19. Long time Doomcock..damn I remember when you were barely at 10K subscribers. Awesome honest shock no holds barred journalism as usual! Lets see if Kathleen's little B*** will finally delete himself.

  20. Hey Doomcock, you know how your "informant" said that Disney was in talks with Terry Matalas?

Did you forget that the Writers guild of America is STILL on strike? IF Disney is talking to him, that would mean that they would be trying to scab him to work on stuff.

Even if Paramount is "going behind Alex Kurtzman's back" on this, there IS still a strike out there, which means that even if they decided to dump everything greenlit at this point, it's not like they could greenlight a new original series set after Nemesis without union writers or actors (which is why nothing live action) can be produced, unless they wanted to try & go for it with out them & hire people who aren't part of the guilds. They'd have to find people willing to work & also screen the writers to weed out anyone who might be agenda driven, which is what I believe is one key that would instantly be a big NO.

  21. I do not understand Doomcock condemning Terry Matalis. Season 3 Picard was some of the best ST I've seen since Voyager ended.

  22. Call me a monster or insane, but I actually enjoyed Season 2 of “Strange New Worlds”. It’s certainly far better than STD. So far, Season 2 hasn’t been “woke” at all. Maybe the only thing I could see being perceived as partially “woke” would be Erika back talking to Spock since he’s a superior officer and Nurse Chapel singing about leaving Spock for the 3 Month Training thing and saying that her career is more important than their relationship. Then again, that message isn’t new at all and has been around since the 80’s.

  23. STD was awful. While some ideas were interesting like the concept of the Spore drive. But the issue is that it rendered “Warp” completely obsolete. I’d argue the concept would’ve been fine if it were in the future past Next Generation Timeline. But it was a prequel, so… 😂😂😂.

  24. imagine what would happen if they approached the guys doing prelude to axenar and gave them a one season deal with all the funding and freedom to make the prelude into a full season , with no rules or meddling from the corporation . and if it worked out and had the reception it SHOULD have , that they could then continue and see where it goes from there .

  25. Terry Matalas SAVED Star Trek. Did you even watch season 3 of Picard??? And Strange New Worlds is fantastic, a real pivot from STD. The reboot will be in the form of Matalas' new show Star Trek Legacy. Also – Prodigy is way better than it should be.

  26. Terry Matalas? But Picard season 3 was the only saving grace. I enjoyed SNW season 1 well enough, but pretty much everything after 2009 can be junked. But let's not throw Terry under the bus.

  27. Couldn’t care less what that idiot thinks about the Star Trek let alone what paramount thinks now that Star Trek as an I.P. has been utterly destroyed, what a disgrace! RIP TREK, Sorry Gene

  28. Complete reboot.
As in restart from the Enterprise or even first contact time.
No recycling of names or characters other than ship names.
Change ships to make them more practical and not pleasure craft in space.
    No silly replicators
There HAS to be money because there just has to be money.
Make the Klingons actual bad guys as in TOS. Feudal, brutal, savage and POWERFUL. No human should be able to take on a TNG Klingon in hand to hand.
Have original TOS Klingons be a lower caste Klingon with TNG being a higher cast introduced (and even become known) MUCH later.
Have the Klingons use a caste system, warrior caste, scientist caste and so on, with castes of slaves that serve their empire.
Get rid of Romulans because the idea of naming their home worlds after the founders of Rome and making them space Romans was just plain lazy writing.

While all this is being done, allow the fan films to do whatever they want and even make a buck.
Treat them as a farm league and try to discover actual talent, in front of and BEHIND the camera, that way.

  29. "now that they've arrived at disaster, they don't like the scenery very much!" 😂 I'm so glad I discovered Earth's rightful ruler, Overlord Doomcock
