    If Koichi was there to back Star up they would've won… But stars death would still be worked in and Koichi delivers the finishing blow

    Bc as a manga reader looking at the final battle from start to finish. Horikoshi could've actually Shiggy get crippled by SNS during their fight. Forcing AFO to jump to a new body he had stashed away in case this happened. The body would be a perfect clone of his and that's who the final villain would be. And in his prime no less.
    Feeling betrayed, Shiggy jumps into the fight and sacrificed himself to kill AFO in a unique of poetic justice.

    Star has like 50 stealth bombers that surround her and one stealth bomber cost billions of dollars which is honestly insane. And star holding her self on top of one stealth bomber that has probably moving at the speed of sound is just one more reminder that there are other strong heroes like all might.
