I hope they can make an anime like this, has intense fight scenes and powerful female protagonist but more detailed story. I am actually bit disappointed in Black Rock Shooter, they have a great animation tbh but they can't make the story more detailed, I can't really understand the flow of the story.
I really love how the 2012 anime basically went the route of a 'Bad Ending' when they did this story of Mato saving Yomi. It all worked out good in the OVA meanwhile here, the horrible timing only served to doom BRS and Mato

I can’t say I’m fond of this Dead Master design.
The less frilly and embellished design from the OVA cut a more imposing presence.
It looks more girly with the added colour and skirt and it just works against the aesthetic.
