This episode was released theatrically as the third segment in the Beast Wars Special Super Lifeforms Transformers feature film. As this film was released nearly a year before any of the other episodes of Season 2 were aired, it begins with short recap of the season so far, narrated by the characters, explaining for audiences how Optimus Primal survived his apparent death at the end of Season 1, and how the Beast Warriors became Transmetals.
