Saya is a troubled young woman who lives with her father in a village temple in Japan. Her mother was a priestess of the temple where they live, but she was murdered when Saya was still a child. The girl’s mission is to follow in her mother’s footsteps and protect the town’s residents from the Furukimono, bizarre creatures that feed on humans.
