Edens Zero doesn't follow up on the Main Story of Fairy Tail. Its two different Show but same author.

The author brings characters from one story to the other either as easter eggs or change the personality. The mascots are always carried over lol

One Punch Man and MobPsycho 100 are made by the same person, they have the same art style and they reference each other too but more subtly than full on using character designs lol

Out of curiosity, have you guys played Kingdom Hearts? If not, that'd be a good set of openings to react to, but you'd definitely have to do edits that could help with the copyright of songs, like altering the pitch or something.
Another would be the series of The World Ends With You. It's got two games and one anime based on the first game.
The same author also made a show called Rave Master. Only one opening though, because though the manga was great, the anime adaptation was far from as good, despite an interesting opening.

It is actually pretty common for one creator to have multiple series
Creators who only have one series generally tend to be the type to have one VERY long series, or creators who are new to the industry
You probably don't notice this, because you only do anime from the 2010s anf 2020s, but if you looked back to the 2000s, 1990s, 1980s, and in some cases even as far as the 1970s and 1960s, you'd notice multiple authors leaving their hand-prints on multiple shows
Thought I'd mention, the main male character only has a SINGLE power, but he's creative in its application.;)

Guys it made by the same creator that made fairytail the designs are the same which is the author style the only difference is that their personality is different and the story is way different and darker than Fairytail, Edens Zero is way better than Fairytail
