Honestly, the uncle isn't wrong for seeing it that way, because Tsunderes are just people who verbally or physically abuse you to hide their shyness… which is basically just mean or bullying no matter how you look at it. Dodged a bullet there, in my opinion.

I think this is the sleeper anime of this season. Genuinely laughed every episode (4 so far) and im stoked for the weekly releases.

Don’t waste your time trying to make them, either with gifts or favors. If they step out of line you tell them, preferably with a close friend around. But don’t try to instigate any further situations for what will likely be a hurtful relationship. It’s their loss.
I think I kind of understand how you wouldn't notice. Imagine a hot af girl comes up to you and starts telling you your ugly. Anime makes thundered obvious because of the anime blush, but irl blushing is hard to notice unless it's extreme.
