A small bit of context for the animation, this is a sneak peak after all, so its basically an unpolished trailer animation. Expect to see better animation by this years summer. : D

Hype! I read some of the novel + manga for Strange Fake. Funnily enough, I read the first chapter of the manga shortly before seeing The Last Jedi, and couldn't help thinking during one scene that "F/SF did it better."
Strange Fake is also a very "interesting" Grail War. Instead of the normal 7 servants, 6 "Fake" servants are summoned for all classes except Saber. Then Saber's summoning kicks off the "True" servant summonings for the full roster of the 7 classes. So other than Saber, each class ends up with 2 servants summoned into it, both a "Fake" and a "True".
Really hope they do True Assassin's summoning justice in the anime. We saw Fake Assassin in the trailer, but True Assassin's summoning was one of the creepiest servant summonings I can remember and truly does justice to the Assassin class. (Mildly disappointed the Assassin class typically doesn't get portrayed well because their entire purpose is the opposite of what media narratives want to focus on.)

Fate apocrypha's main problem was pacing and plot, it's fights actually slapped pretty hard

This is in the Fate/Stay Night-Fate/Zero universe, set after Fate/Stay Night. FGO was in an alternate reality where the First Heaven's Feel ritual took place at the same time that Fate/Stay Night did, only with different masters as shown by Marisbury Animusphere summoning Solomon as Caster. If I recall correctly, Fate/Strange Fake takes place nearly ten years after Stay Night, if you read the manga, you'll see the blond firewood mention how Gilgamesh was used in the Fourth and Fifth Wars during his insignificant montage.
Context for A-1 pictures — because video description is very confusing, despite company actually making apocrypha, exact people who made apocrypha have almost zero connection to Fate/Strange Fake.
The only person who connected to apocrypha from staff is director Shun Enkido, BUT he wasnt director there, and more of action director for OP and that final 4 episodes with epic animation. He also happens to be Fate/Grand Order cm 4 director, and recently directed ep 8 of Chainsaw man.
He joined by SAO Ordinal Scale movie action animation director Takahito Sakazume (which is arguably best work A-1 done visually).
They also have Hiroyuki Sawano (no introduction required) as a composer and Kentaro Onuki with Yusuke Takeda as art-directors (sao os and vinland saga — same positions).
And as a final touch their sound director is a person who was in charge of Fate/Zero as a senior recording engineer.
So you can be sure in staff positions choice, this team (as it shows in the PV) is S-tier team. Im hopeful they will be doing a TV series right after the special.

There are vampires in Fate, just not the Dead Apostle Ancestors, Kiritsugu's dad was researching about it and said vampires took over the island they were in on and the bee vampire inside a plane that Kiritsugu shot down with an rpg
7:19 Strange/Fake Ishtar has white hair and red eyes as she possessed an Einsbern homonculus. Her personality was officially described as “Take Rin Tohsaka and add Luvia Edelfelt, divide by two and subtract most if not all their humanity.”
Basically, she’s a lot more cruel and inhumane than Grand Order Ishtar, as Rin’s personality wasn’t there to offset her true horrid nature.
So I know in Gilgamesh and Enkidu’s fight Gilgamesh destroy the world and Enkidu recreates the world so this fight will be amazing
when Gil says "I only bring out Ea if I deem you worthy of it" he really means it
because the moment he sensed Enkidu as a participant of this war, Gil IMMEDIATELY pulled out Ea and flew to Enkidu's location to have what can only be described as a "Catastrophic-level Fist Bump" and this all happened literally just a few minutes after they were summoned lmao
There are vampires in Fate too. It's just that due to the differences in events in the past, vampires, or rather Dead Apostles, aren't as powerful in Fate as they are in Tsukihime.
For example, in Kiritsugu's backstory in Fate/Zero, his father's experiments turned the entire island population into vampires. Then, when he was working as a mercenary, Kiritsugu's mentor failed a mission while in a plane with the bee vampire (having killed him, but the bees went berserk and turned everyone on the plane), so Kiritsugu shot the plane down with a rocket.
Another example, Matou Zouken from Fate/Stay Night.
Another example, Vlad/Darnic fusion in Fate/Apocrypha.
Strange Fake(taking place around 2009) is in the same timeline as Fate/Stay Night(which takes place in 2004), but without any mention of which route from Fate/Stay Night happened.

The guy who said that he creates Heroes is Alexander Dumas. He's the servant of the leader of the group of people in uniforms who have big magic weapons. Dumas is essentially making mages fight with noble phantasms.
You didn't read wrong. The first part is a "Fake" Holy Grail War, and it only has 6 servants(no saber class). Then the "True" servants also get summoned, leading to a grail war with 13 servants.
To precise, what people mean when they say "False" Servants and "True" Servants" isn't that the "false" ones aren't real servants. It's just that they aren't the main servants meant to be summoned, instead being extras summoned by others through a method that messed with the system of the war.
This is similar to how Caster(Medea) summoned an Assassin Servant(Sasaki Kojiro) in Fate/Stay Night even though there is also a "True" Assassin summoned by Matou Zouken as seen in the Heaven's Feel route. Medea managed to summon a "False" Assassin through a sort of loophole.
If there is something in particular you want me to explain feel free to ask, I'll try to avoid major spoilers and hopefully clear some things for you as what this beautiful clusterfuck of a Grail War is. Because if you thought what you saw was crazy?

Oh you don’t have to worry about the dub taking long, they announced when they announced production of the special that they would drop the dub simultaneously as the sub. Mainly since it takes place in America.

A1 Pictures is the anime factory they get directors and animators for each project not hiring people permanently. They have gotten the style from the Manga but they are trying to keep the style consistent. Apocrypha was rushed which is why it had a massive quality drop post ep 12, also most of the people that worked on it left to make Cloverworks the studio that made Babylonia. But A1 seems to be focusing on quality like we saw with later seasons of SAO (Plot still bad tho)

This Holygrail will be a bit more special than normal grail war. Instead of 7 servants, we have 13 servants:
2 Archers
2 Lancers
2 Riders
2 Casters
2 Berserkers
2 Assassins
1 Saber
And in this one, Gilgamesh will be one of the good guys.

So enkidu used his true NP here it's basically the reverse of Gil's where gil rips apart and destroys the world enkidu brings life back to it (both get called enuma elish obviously) so that is why we see all the plants

Me remembering how chaotic and explosive the final fight was between a lancer and a archer in apocrhia which weren’t even that strong of a servant to compared to others, and seeing Gilgamesh and enkidu about to duke it out

It surprises me that some people think Fate Apocrypha dosent look good. It looks great and has really good animation but to be honest most fates do. If you don't like it thats fine but its not bad looking.
