I think Drakken had different overdrive forms. Universe one, when he flexed on Shiki and Jinn, was different than when he fought Weisz and Shiki in universe two.
Hot take but I’m down with shiki allying with drakken and shura against the Edens One even if they don’t become friends. I love antagonist and protagonist teams ups like ichigo and Aizen vs yhwach or Goku and Frieza vs Jiren. Plus given how strong E1 is it’s not bad to have powerful allies
I'm ok with it. For one its a Hiro Mashima series. Rave Master, Fairy Tail, now Edens Zero. It's what I expect and what I'm here for. Also to be fair Shiki abandoning his ideals of friendship in Universe 3 is essentially where he went wrong. Making friends was supposed to be one of Shiki's goals for his journey, and at first he got those friends, but because he didn't want to lose the few he had he chose to focus solely on them, which isn't wrong, but he did give up a core part of himself in the process. Ziggy actually pretty much even said back then when the bomb was about to explode in the Aoi Cosmo and Shiki chose not to help anyone else, that he made the wrong choice. Also Draken Joe and Shura not having friends or any type of affection is the reason they ended up the way they were back in Universe 3 to begin with and pretty much the solution for most people in this series, because other than the Edens crew most of these guys are lonely motherfuckers that either had no friends, had their trust betrayed, or their family died.
Take: what if “true” overdrive is people turning into a mechanical representation of their ether gear? It would make sense why shiki turned into ziggy this chapter because ‘demon gravity’ is his power and also why ether gears look like shit you’d see in a circuit.
I think Moscoy got his memories when Homura attempted to use soul blade. He looked the same as the others did when they were getting their memories back. I wonder if Homura seeing Valkyrie would trigger hers?
It seems like everyone would have to reconfigure their OD that’ll basically autocorrect their their current bodies to the level of strength they obtained 3 years from Universe 3. Shiki’s form is cool but wish it was more creative instead of basically use Ziggy’s design. Can’t wait to see everyone else’s
And regarding Shiki wanting to be Shura and Drakken’s friend, I am completely on your side. Idc how on brand that is for Shiki’s character, it’s just strange and doesn’t make sense for them to convert and be friends with him when it seems like they’re just as evil as they were in the other universes. You might be right but I hope you’re wrong that Shiki would pull it off.😐
NGL, even tho this is a serious red flag, like Tokyo Revengers level, Ivry just beating the crap out of Kris and Kleene even though they got their memories back was hilarious.
so in Universe 0, Nero did have wormhole ether gear powers once upon a time, but he lost them to Ziggy when Ziggy first visited Aoi Cosmos during his initial search for Mother, then Ziggy passed on the wormhole and gravity ether gear to Shiki before he shut down Nero then gained water ether gear powers to make up for his now gone wormhole ether gear powers just like in the previous universes, Nero uses the "empire dice" relics to determine what to do and the dice told him to help Shiki awaken overdrive, so he gives Shiki a hint and Shiki was able to use overdrive to temporarily transform into a copy of Ziggy
Maybe it's not the worst thing in the world if drakken and shura become friends no enemies right lmao we all knew it tbh btw iron Nancy said the same thing 😂😂

This isn't that shocking looking back on previous events. Shiki wanted to save Shura despite everything but couldn't. He constantly tried to talk to and reason with Shura but failed. With Drakken Joe, even before he was shot down, Shiki promised to be his friend. I'm more against Drakken Joe being an ally than Shura. Drakken caused much more harm and suffering to the crew, not to say Shura didn't cause pain as well but Drakken was more impactful in that regard. Thus i don't really want him being an ally. I can't really forgive him for that. Apart of me still hates him for it. Regardless on whatever tragic past he may of had.
i knew this all along that drakken will become an ally but whats the problem with that. i think its pretty okay and you guys really have a problem with the word friends never understood it
