Silver button!!!!!!!congrats
Congrats on the sliver button!!! 🎉🎉🎉
I'm an Ode user, and quite happy with the daily performance I get from it. I don't intend to get an SSP burr set as I have other espresso focused grinders. However, the Opus, seems almost disgraceful to look at in comparison to the Ode. Fellow products are quite premium and attractive to look at but this one is just awful !
Thank you for the review. Confirmed this is a grinder at a great price point that will meet my needs. I only need to go from Moka grind for my Moka Pot to filter for my Moccamaster and pour over to course for cold brew . That’s as technical as I get.
Hey Kyle! How does the Encore ESP compare to the 1zpresso JX Pro specifically when it comes to espresso? I have the JX pro right now and not sure if it’s worth the “upgrade”.
Fellow really shit the bed with the adjustment mechanism on the Opus. All this hype leading up to release about this new espresso capable grinder, and we get something that seems incredibly compromised in its design aspects for dialing in espresso. It's like they added the espresso micro adjustments as an afterthought due to a marketing decision. If Fellow had just advertised the Opus as mainly a budget filter grinder (that can do espresso in a pinch), it would probably be better received, but they really pushed the espresso capability hard in the marketing. Bad decision on their part. I had high hopes for this, but won't be purchasing it.
It's funny, I had exactly the opposite expectations for the Barazta Encore ESP. When I heard they were making a new version of the Encore that can do espresso, I thought it was just a marketing gimmick. I've modded the hell out of my Encore to try to turn it into a capable espresso grinder, and it still wasn't cutting it. There are issues beyond just the adjustment mechanism that make the original version an inconsistent grinder for espresso (mainly sloppy burr alignment and play in the ring burr while grinding). I didn't think Baratza was up to the task, but I was totally wrong. It seems like with the ESP they fixed all of the issues that made the Encore bad for espresso, and the new adjustment mechanism is just brilliant. Kudos to them.
Hi Kyle! First time watcher and really enjoyed your video. Question:
Would the ESP or Opus be a better espresso grinder than the built in grinder on the Breville Barista Express? I am interested in buying a grinder that can do both filter and espresso but wasn't sure if I'd be gaining anything from what I already have.
Congrats on the silver button and keep it up!
Silver butt in💩

You discussed retention on the Opus. Either you did not, or somehow I missed, you discussing retention on the ESP.
Good buying guide! Hope that it will help people in making their decision.
Have you ever had trouble finding your coffee scoop when you need it the most? Imagine not having to search for it each time you want to make a cup of coffee.
I have a proposal for a collaboration to create a coffee scoop bag clip. The clip will securely fasten to your coffee bag, keeping your scoop readily available whenever you need it.
This collaboration could be an opportunity for us to work together and create something new and innovative. We can bring our skills and ideas to the table to design the perfect coffee scoop bag clip.
So, if this idea interests you, let's join forces and make the perfect coffee scoop bag clip. Together we can create a world where coffee-making is both convenient and effortless.
Silver button!
What grind setting did you use for the Encore
@ Kyle Roswell Hey Kyle, that Silver Play BUTTON looks really good on that shelf in the background: Thank for another video buddy! 🙂
ESP for the win. Thanks for the review.
Congrats Kyle, good job!!
Cant wait to see what else you gonna bring in the future
Congrats on the silver play button. Had to watch this for your opinion after seeing what Lance had to say about both of these.
Looking to buy a new grinder for around £500, here in the UK, any recommendations. I have been looking at Mahlkonig X54 but wondering what else would be as good. primarily will be used for espresso but occasionally filter coffee for use with a french press.
Congrats for the silver! Definitely deserves more XD
