Huh so Shide likes Final Fantasy.
I always wondered what anime or games some villains would like
And you just know Aizen would like Classroom of the Elite
"Feel's like a kid who got his saved Data erased right before the final boss" i know that frustration and that's pretty accurate to the situation. Shide is a Prick for that.
Neat thing about this episode is that a lot of what they reveal is directly cribbed from Final Fantasy VII, including Hiruko being from space and the bad guy being her "son".
Shinpei and Ushio really fucked up in this encounter. Karikiri was obviously provoking them so that Ushio shows herself and Karikiri could ambush them. Shinpei even told Ushio not to let her guard down but they still fell for Karikiri's provocations. They didn't even stop to think why Karikiri would allow himself to be so unguarded in their presence, like that was straight up obvious that he was expecting them! It's like red lights just keep on showing and they just hit the gas anyway and it was frustrating to watch them go.
But you know, this is actually what the author intends for the viewers to feel and I think he succeeded. There will be more plot twists alright, it continues up to the ending, but I think this was one of the best plot twist in the whole series for me.
The remaining episodes are one of the best for this anime. Can't wait to see your reaction to that

I had completely forgot about this Aizen looking dude until this episode. We should've known. It's cool to go back to scenes with him and Hizuru at the funeral and flashback to her childhood cause you can see how much she doesn't like kim. The hints were all there😩
I feel like they show you the masked Shide to make you think think that he isn't one of the characters we know only to later slap you with the reveal this episode has xD
You know this anime is really good when it gives you goosebumps
