  1. I truly enjoyed this mini series it had all the plots and character developments not seem on comics/anime before. love love the art.

  2. Dialogue in the NETFLIX English dub explains it as only a faction of Earth's population wants to leave and has set a colony ship on course which will arrive in 100 years. This "fish" ship is warp-capable and gets to the planet quickly with a mission to start terraforming the planet so it's habitable in 100 years. Since living tissue cannot survive the jump, humans must be reconstructed – "printed" – at the end point – and this plays a major part in what happens in the story.

  3. Ruichi Sakamoto is a LEGEND. Unfortunately this review rambles all over the place and doesn't talk much about the story details. Ignore everything said here about the plot and come in fresh. Background notes on the character design/style were good, though. I agree the story isn't amazing, but it's okay, and I'm quite okay with the ending – no need for a sequel.

  4. I went into this expecting nothing and it was good

  5. I'm digging the series art style, it reminds me of Shin Megami Tensei 5 or 3 with the high saturation & color gradient based images yet relatively simple environments

  6. It was interesting. I stumbled upon it purely by chance, having never heard of it, and ended up watching the whole thing. My only complaint is that I wish we learned more about this "Alternative Intelligence" they mention several times. Apparently it designed the ship, but is also what drove humans off Earth.

  7. Just finished watching this series and very much enjoyed it. Great story, character and starship design. Highly recommended 😀👍

  8. I very much disagree that the music is boring, especially the intro for me is hauntingly beautiful. I also wished they delved deeper into the humanity of the reprints. If Lewis kept some more monstrous traits after regaining his memories rather than being a deformed human would have been more interesting. They mostly just skimmed the surface of the nature of their being as well. I would give this 6,5 out of 10

  9. Decent plot but the impostor was just a disappointing eco-terrorist.

Could've been a spy for another earth colony trying to monopolize habitable planets but nope the daycare janitor who must save the animals and plants from humans is the bad guy.

  10. 18/12/22 – I watched randomly and binged the whole thing. Such a great concept, very well executed.

  11. I want to go into a few things. One, Netflix has access to so many social profiles of its own users and I believe they were able to use facial recognition software to match these character's personalities to consumer stereotypical profiles, you know, the way they look and act. It is so accurate. I know people irl who look and have the same personality traits as these actors. Forget the art style. The art style is amazing itself. The micro expressions of the characters were more interesting. The subtle eye movements and body movements when specific things were said gave a ton of insight into character intentions. I fell in love with each character. The character development was accomplished SO WELL. Reliving their lives over and over without their previous memories, but the other characters having memories of their friends before they die and are reprinted was a MASTERPEICE of storytelling. The reprints were like children and were acting and treated like children when they were reprinted. All of this while there is the tension of a missing bomb and a huge mission of terraforming a new world for Earth colonists. SO GOOD. I loved this show. I want more Netflix!

  12. "Art style". This could have been an audio only pod cast and nothing would be lost. Standing in corridors and empty rooms with mundane dialog. Feel like they made a CW show, but the monster would be cheesy CG. So they made it all cheesy CG to compensate.
