I'm so sad that its over for now. This was my favorite feel good show to come out in the past few years, and I loved your guys' reactions to the entire season. Now we begin the wait for the next season and movie.

On your discussion about shows with really good dubs, I think I'd say Ghost Stories has to be up there (if you know, you know) and a few serious picks for me are Code Geass, Death Note and Cowboy Bebop. JJBA part 3 has a pretty good dub as well.
Edit: I also thought Fate Zero had a very good dub
Hello, I'm Japanese. As for how popular Spy x Family is in Japan which you were talking about, it is extremely popular here. It ranked No.1 as the most watched TV show in many Japanese subscription sites and many people choose S x F as the best anime of the season in polls. You see much merchandize of S x F in supermarkets, convenience stores and everywhere. There is Spy x Family gum, Spy x Family notebook, drink bottles with Spy x Family illustration on them, etc., etc. The manga had been popular before the anime started, but after the anime aired the sales of manga skyrocketed. Chainsawman is also popular too, but S x F is way more popular. Last time I saw this scale of popularity in anime was when Demon Slayer movie was released a few years ago, so maybe if the S x F movie is released, it will surpass the Demon Slayer movie in box office.
As for the season 2, I think it will be aired in the fall season of this year after the release of the movie in summer. The first season of the anime covered six volumes of manga, so if you are going to make another season another six volumes of manga has to have been published. But as of present, the newest volume of S x F is vol. 10, and a new volume has been published almost every six months so far, so it might take another six months or so until the manga catches up with the anime.
By the way, it has been announced that the movie will be another original story which will be written by Tatsuya Endo, the author of the manga.

If Donovan could read minds, Twilight would be a dead man. The scene between Twilight and Donovan was really tense because people who don’t talk much almost force the other person to talk more out of awkwardness, and I was afraid Twilight would let too much slip. Also, Twilight’s inner self had so much animosity that I was afraid some of that might show on his face. As it is, I feel like Donovan is already suspicious of Twilight (he seems the kind of guy who is suspicious of any contact with a stranger), and now he has remembered his name. If I were Donovan, I would order a background check on Loid as soon as he gets back to the office.
Anya couldn’t be in this scene because we, the audience, would know too much about Donovan. Right now, he’s still a mystery, and that’s great as we have much more to discover in future episodes.
I’m really happy for Damien in that he was able to get a little bit of praise from his dad. I’m also happy that it was Anya’s words that actually gave him the courage to talk, lol. He’s going to be sooooo smitten with Anya, haha.

Before that, I'm looking forward to the sequels of Ranking of Kings and Demon Slayer , which I love as much as SPY x FAMILY, starting this spring.

Spy x Family is like the most popular anime in 2022. Not only in Japan but all over the world and streaming platform too. If there is a movie, it will definitely be in a lot of theatres.
I loved this episode. The fact that the conversation between Twilight and Desmond is so tense and makes you think much deeper into both of these complicated and complex men. I loved how Twilight played on like three-four angles and achieved more than one goal. He now made himself known to Desmond, pushed Desmond and Damian closer together, and gave Damian a push towards Anya as well. He also memorized Desmond’s bodyguards faces and numbers. It was really well written.
Spy X Family is extremely popular in Japan and out of Japan. Spy X Family ratings as anime broke records and the manga has already sold almost 30 million copies. The last volume 10 had stayed in the number one spot for 6 weeks and sold a million and half copies in less than two months. The show trended worldwide as well.
