The Nier Automata Anime will be CRAZY



The Nier automata anime looks amazing so far. It’s called NieR:Automata Ver1.1a and I can’t wait to see 2b voiced by yui ishikawa, a2 and 9s in action. Love how Keiichi Okabe soundtracks will be used like Weight of the world because the nier automata game ost or soundtrack is amazing. it’s being animated by A-1 Pictures who seems to be having a great record so far. We might even get an adaptation of nier replicant #nierautomata #anime #manga

    As someone who experienced a blind playthrough of Automata years after release, it become one of my favorite game of all time. Hearing Weight of the world for the first time in the credits crushed me. Now, even if I dont play it as much, I still start up the game to hear the music or visit specific secret landmarks.

    I don’t really get why this is becomming an anime. It’s already convolured enough as it is with two main games, Drakengaard, the collabs, stageplays, concert announcements etc all being canon. Not really ideal for a medium that’ll have to cut even more of the detail than the game already did.

    Anyhow if the story doesn’t cover the actual game events, it’s a different case. Then I’d be on board.

    Ah yes, the ‘peak’ storytelling of “48 times and I’m still not used to it, also I’m tortured even though I never once act like it, A2s here too, she was such an important character that we saw you once then forgot about you until the end”.

    Makes sense since A1 pictures has a lot of video game properties and are starting to animate some of their games. Although this is probably one of the few video game adaptations with tremendous hype before it’s release already

    I’m really excited yet nervous for the release of this adaptation. Those who have played any game by Yoko Taro know that his games have a lot to unpack and each game has different routes so I really wonder what route they will pick and if they can pull it off well. In the past, I have watched many adaptations of jrpgs (after playing the games) and almost all have done poorly with storytelling. But at least the OST and animation will be good ig😅
    Side note: If any of you haven’t tried playing one of Yoko Taro’s games here is your incentive to play it lol. I personally love his games (Drakengard and especially Nier) but be prepared for some dark stories, suffering, great characters, and lots of crying!!

    I have both games I still have a not finished the first game aka replicant and because it really did not interest me all that much and I might not watch the anime should I finish it and play the second one
