■Introduction
西暦5012年。
突如地球へと飛来してきた＜エイリアン＞と、彼らが生み出した＜機械生命体＞により、人類は絶滅の危機に陥った。
月へと逃げのびた僅かな人類は、地球奪還のため、＜アンドロイド＞の兵士を用いた反攻作戦を開始。
しかし無限に増殖し続ける＜機械生命体＞を前に、戦いは膠着状態に陥る。
人類は最終兵器として、新型のアンドロイド＜ヨルハ＞部隊を地球へ派遣。
新たに地球へと派遣された＜2B＞は先行調査員の＜9S＞と合流し、任務にあたるが、その最中で、数々の不可解な現象に遭遇し……。

これは人類のために戦い続ける、命なき＜アンドロイド＞の物語――。

    As the first episode approaches swiftly, I can’t help but feel grateful that this project was ever conceived and presented to the world. Nier changed my life, the way I see human will and purpose, the meaning and value behind suffering, and the importance of perseverance and deliverance. Thank you so much to everyone who made such great efforts in creating the story of Nier Automata, and I can’t wait to watch the anime!

    I can't wait, one of my favorite games of all time being adapted into an anime is such a treat. I'll get my tissues ready as well since Nier Automata was one of the only games to ever make me cry, I anticipate much tearshed during this anime.

    Espero que der bom esse Nier Automata pra quem sabe eles criarem uma nova temporada ou eles aproveitam e faz o anime também o Drakengard e Nier Replicant.

    Everytime I hear the ruin city music I start to tear up I kid you not I want to break down crying from this show I know it sounds weird but I am allready giving it a good review for the art style and voice acting and music now the story and fight scenes just have to top it off and I will mark it 10 out of 10

    you can tell how much they truly care about NieR and are actually passionate about this game. I'm excited to see the new story they present in this anime!

    Man I am so excited for this, my entire being is just shivering. If this is done well it could be amazing. I enjoy how scarily accurate the scenes we've seen are but I'm also afraid that staying 1-on-1 with the game wouldn't make for a very good anime.

    Still though, I can't wait to see 2b in her full glory, I wonder if they'll use the official english voice actors for the dub.

    Y yo pensando que esto era parte del dia de los inocentes… ¡las replicas de las armas son DEMASIADO geniales! y ¡Todos ellos son demasiados geniales! Me dio mucha risa lo de que Yoko Taro destruye, es realmente bueno que lo tengan bajo control ahaha. Faltan tan pocos días para el estreno que no me lo puedo creer…
