SPOILERS–
Vash always hid his robot arm because he was hiding the fact that 1. He had a gun and 2. His body was torn up over several lifetimes of fighting. He does this to hide that he is not human.
His new gun is literally chambered in .22 rimfire when before it was in .45 long Colt aka the cowboy round.
In the original Vash is so goofy because he's so good and experienced at gunplay very little people actually lose a threat so he's disarming people with comedy by acting like a fool.
If you want to see an inspiration for Vashd original gun looked up the Mateba.
I didn't know they were rebooting Trigun, I'm scared to watch this trailer.

They already ruined my favorite anime with the live action Cowboy Bebop. Now they decide to cuck my second favorite anime series. This is getting depressing
Whatever they are doing to Vash, to Trigun looks like that one "can i copy ur homework" and i'm not amused. I dislike what r doing to vash as someone watched and loved trigun when i was younger. They ruined his whole look, his hair, glasses,coat and everything in general.

While the new designs are egregious. My biggest fear is what they might do to the story. The biggest thing that drew me to Trigun was the the back and forth dichotomy and philosophy between Vash and Wolfwood. One wishes to protect all life both innocent and villains even at the cost of his body and soul while the other is willing to kill a few evil to protect many Innocents. The show is willing to show both pros and cons of these opposing world views and my biggest concern is that with the current culture they'll show Vash views as the morally superior one with little to no nuance to the other.
The moaning about the arm thing is dumb. It's a character redesign.. Making it more prominent was probably done to make his silhouette more distinguished.

CG is cancer. Call me a dinosaur, I don't care. It's an absolute dealbreaker until the end of time for me. lol at the fact they're wasting the opportunity to adapt Maximum and doing a shitty "original plot" instead, but at least Maximum's not getting the jank CG treatment.

Someone speculated that the frame in the trailer that shows the bounty indicates that this story takes place BEFORE and a while after Vash lost his arm. So they're probably baiting us to think he's 'modernized'. But I'm not sure if that's true.

I definitely have to watch it but I’m already getting berserk 2016 vibes.
In the comics the atmosphere is more serious and deep, yet few scenes of comic relief at moments but at the end, its terrifying and sad to watch. Villains have some traumatic shit to go through and now they are all committed to killing vash, knives is a good foil.BUT Legato is much much more worse(in terms of intimidation) but hey knifes finally had a change of mind at last, good talk about morality from the priest and stuff 10 out of 9
The anime was nice, skipped through some of the backstories of villains, didn’t explain much about Vash and knifes are PLANTs . A lighter atmosphere as more goofy stuff is in the fights.
This new adaptation? The glasses says it all.

Badlands Rumble looks so much better than this new series which begs the question. Why didn't the studio behind the movie make the new series? Hell the old remix DVDs of the original series looks better than the new remake. 🤦♂️☹

How bad the anime industry has turned lately, especially with so-called "masterpiece" that have as targets pedos in disguise. CGI is not bad, but when an entire anime is made using that, then I don't see a reason for watching it. It looks incredible cheap. I'd watch it only and again only in case it should stick closer to the manga, as the story in the anime was not 100% the same.
