俳優の小栗旬さん主演で、空知英秋さんの人気マンガを実写化した映画「銀魂」（福田雄一監督）の大ヒットを記念し、東京・大阪・愛知・福岡・北海道の5都市で応援上映が実施されることが7月26日、分かった。サイリウムや“鳴り物”の持ち込みもOKで、映画本編に加え、小栗さんや菅田将暉さん、橋本環奈さん、福田監督による応援上映のために収録された限定スペシャルトークも上映される。
「銀魂」は、マンガ誌「週刊少年ジャンプ」（集英社）で2004年から連載され、コミックス累計発行部数5100万部を超える人気マンガ。天人（あまんと）と呼ばれる異星人に占領された江戸末期を舞台に、なんでも屋を営む侍・銀時らが難題を解決する姿を描くSF時代劇コメディーだ。06年4月にテレビアニメ第1期がスタートし、11年4月～12年3月に第2期、15年4月～16年3月に第3期が放送され、10年と13年には劇場版アニメも公開された。
映画には岡田将生さん、長澤まさみさん、ムロツヨシさん、「KinKi Kids」の堂本剛さん、新井浩文さん、菜々緒さんらも出演。攘夷（じょうい）志士の生き残りで銀時（小栗さん）の幼なじみの桂小太郎（岡田さん）がある日、江戸に現れた謎のつじ斬りに襲われ行方不明になる。相棒の安否を心配する「エリザベス」から話を聞いた銀時や志村新八（菅田さん）、神楽（橋本さん）は、つじ斬りの正体を探るうち、ある妖刀の存在と、その裏でうごめく一人の男の野望へとたどり着く……というストーリー。
今月14日に公開され、24日までで観客動員130万人、興行収入は17億8000万円を突破。応援上映は8月3、4、10、11日の4日間で3日は東京会場のみの開催となる。

Movie “Gintama” ! Shun Oguri and “members of Yorozuya“ run disorderly in TV support.
To celebrate the success of the movie “Gintama” (Silver Soul), which is adapted from the same-name manga by writer Hideaki Sorachi, directed by Yuichi Fukuda and starred by Shun Oguri, the broadcasting of the support showing (the cheering show of the audience) in five prefectures and cities, including Tokyo, Osaka, Aichi, Fukuoka and Hokaido, was held on July 26th.

The content of the movie is about Kotaro Katsura (starred by Okada), a childhood friend of Gintoki (starred by Oguri), and the last xenophobic samurai. Once day, they disappeared when being attacked by a mysterious Tsuji Sword from the Edo Period.
After listening to the news from Elizabeth, who is very worrying for her friends’ safety, Gintoki, Shinbachi Shimura (starred by Suda) and Kagura (starred by Hashimoto) went out to find the sword. During the search for the real nature of Tsuji Sword, they found out the existence of a doubtful sword and the ambition of a man behind the story about that sword.
