The movie starts in 1961, with a girl named Nete running to meet a boy named Tage inside the car. They sound excited to see each other, and it doesn’t take quite long for them to start making out and while they’re at it, Nete tells Tage she can’t believe they’ll be having a baby together. A while later, Nete’s father appears out of nowhere and drags Nete out of the car, complaining that she was sleeping with Tage, who happens to be her cousin. He takes her away and threatens Tage to stay away from her. He then takes Nete to a place where he hands her over to a woman named Gitte, who will be taking her to a clinic for troubled girls named Sprogo.
