The mc, Jirou, may seem okay for now but lemme tell you how f*cking annoying the story gets because it revolves around him when he's so damn undecisive. He's torn between his long time crush and akari. He just goes back and forth, hesitates all the time, doesnt know what the f*ck he really wants.
Akari, knows Tenjin will reject her so from my point of view she's just as bad as the mc, shes falling in love with the mc while shes pursuing Tenjin. I dunno, its so goddamn annoying, shes heavily affected by whatever's happening to Tenjin like here in this clip and mc consoles her in a NON-FRIENDLY MANNER.
THEN THERES SHIORI, who decided to add into the already messy and complex relationships by choosing to be selfish at the worse possible scenario, by selfish I mean she finally decided to pursue her love for Jirou which she has also been in loved with for a long time in a situation where they were separated and paired with somebody else. Talk about poor decisions.
The plot is just so annoying that I dont care anymore about it being poorly written, as usual in the romcom genre. Theres hardly any masterpiece in this genre, at least for my standards but who else but me would care anyway?

Let me ask y’all this if that whole fiasco with Akari and her crush in the gym storage room didn’t change anything why do y’all think this changes anything? This is exactly like rent a girlfriend.
I remember i read this manga when first came out way back like 2017, can't believe they actually made an adaptation. I remember the manga being more lewd, and sometime give some sort of very weird feeling.
As someone who has watched the manga, I am so FKING glad they did justice in doing this particular scene.
Lemme tell ya, it is still by far one of, if not, the best chapter that has ever existed. The raw emotions that the two main leads have flung to this particular moment is so beautiful it makes you want to skip to the ending immediately where they hopefully get married and have each other till the end of time.
Also yes, Shiori did nothing wrong, but she needs to disappear nonetheless.
