There is a fun nod to all of Batman’s live-action movies. When Alfred notices that Batman is being strange about showing how he feels, he notes that he has seen him go through similar phases in 2016, 2012, 2008, 2005, 1997, 1995, 1992, 1989, and a “weird one” in 1966. This lists all of the character’s live-action appearances before this movie’s release, from 1966’s Batman starring Adam West, up to 2016’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice starring Ben Affleck.
