Who made the Edens One? Why was Connor it's pilot? Why does it want to end humanity and machines? Did it come from the future? What were the Shining Stars made for? Who were the people used to make the Dark Stars and Shining stars? Where was baby Shiki found? How did Connor bag Rebecca's mom?
It's weird how Eraser looks at Shiki like that while speaking his mind that Shiki Granbell is the one who held the the ether of the Demon King….Like what's up with that…? 🤔
I think it's one of the robots who sent Ziggy back in time. They probably didn't want Ziggy to succeed and save humans. They probably always wanted robots as the only race.
My theory is that when Ziggy got sent back it's possible the bots In charge gave ziggy an experimental ai too assist him on his quest too the past,and maybe because ziggy wanted to abandoned his mission too look after shiki, the ai wasn't a fan of ziggy betraying the mission,and possibly there were early signs of the ai wanting too overthrow ziggy so he gave the edens zero to Elsie as a safety precaution incase the ai ever got out of control.
I think Xenolith has something to do with this. If everything Ziggy has done up until now has been the Edens One doing, then the One intentionally went after Xenolith. Also how Ziggy met Xenolith is still a mystery because Xenolith said he doesn't remember. But then he also says he met Ziggy 15 years before the timeskip but he was alone. So there's something there I just don't know what yet.

The first chapter i legitimately liked from start to finish in a long time. Also that ending was pure fire! We going full Mass Effect! Edens One is a Reaper. A sentient machine that wants to destroy all organic life. Let's go. I actually really like that.

I don't think it the ship itself. I think it the AI and the AI is evil future rebeeca. Because ziggy said back when he first woke up that the eden zero is only a prototype to the eden one.
Meaning the eden zero, the four shining star and etherion/rebeeca are all in testing phase. The etherion/rebeeca on the eden zero could only just be a small portion of rebeeca and the full rebeeca/etherion is on the eden one controlling it.
The reason why evil ziggy send clown and killer to retrieve the etherion is so that the eden one can be at full power. And maybe that mission have already been completely when clown place his hand on the etherion door. Or maybe killer isn't actually dead and he did something while the others are too busy. Because clown did smirk when sister ask him what evil ziggy is truly after.
Regarding to what hermit said about ziggy not taking the eden zero back to granbell because it too big and he doesn't want it to attract too much attention. I think what hermit really trying to say is that – didn't ziggy rebuild the eden zero on granbell after hearing a guest talk about mother. Indicating that people were on the planet at the time when he rebuild it. So why is ziggy complaining now about not wanting to keep it on granbell because granbell has too many people. Also didn't the bots on granbell said that no human has set foot on the planet of a 100 years. So it took ziggy a hundred years to leave granbell, find shiki and bring him back. Assuming that when ziggy return no human have return to granbell. because shiki growing up never met a human until Rebecca. That seem odd to me.
i love that the edens one is the true enemy – it’s perfect considering the themes of the story, like if machines can be like humans then you can be damn sure there’ll be some evil ones too etc etc but also because no one i’ve seen guessed it 🤣
