  1. doesn't like interviews but communicated more than most other players combined.

  2. How come she got fined previously for not doing press conferences after matches because she couldn’t talk to the press as her social anxiety was so bad? Now she is an attention seeker

  3. My brain cannot process…Naomi is like the biggest introvert in tennis who hates attention. I think this is heaps cool but I just can't imagine her wearing such attention-grabbing outfits or pulling this sort of stunt! haha

  4. Great to see some fashion like this, could have done a twirl or two as she entered the stadium, ( like on the catwalk), but maybe she may have had a dress malfunction, and good to that she won !, Hate to think what the naysayers would have said if the outcome was a loss! And the smile on the Japanese? girl was priceless! Good one Naiomi but will she repeat the outfit again in the 2nd round? !

  5. Bringing fashion to tennis in a really bold way. Never thought I’d see someone walk out in Robert Wun outside red carpets, editorial fashion magazines, let alone Rod Laver Arena. That’s what you call pushing the culture, and I hope this inspires other players to try and express themselves more and brands to meet them in the moment

  6. Yeah, not for me. If her tennis was exceptional I’d be more understanding although I’d still find it ridiculous. But her tennis is not great. She is neither dominant nor inspiring. I seriously think she’s mentally ill. Hard pass.

  7. It's a killer fish, folks!
After the game, she explained the fashon was inspired by Jerryfish.
Now I checked about Jerryfish in Australia because this is an Australian Open.
    Here is what I found:
"Deadliest Jellyfish in the World. The most dangerous jellyfish in Australia that can kill you are the Australian Box Jellyfish (Chironex fleckeri) and several species of Irukandji jellyfish (like Malo kingi and Carukia barnesi), both found in Northern Australia's tropical waters, especially during stinger season (Nov-May). The box jellyfish causes rapid paralysis and cardiac arrest, while Irukandji causes severe pain, vomiting, and potentially heart failure, with both requiring immediate medical help."

  8. It's nice that Naomi has a life outside of tennis. Look at Iga = stressed, a bundle of nerves, crying even when she is winning. Where's the fun in all this ? Aryna knows how to enjoy life, and so does Naomi.
