尾道を含む広島県東部の備後地方は、世界有数のデニムの産地って知ってる？ 👖市内の「#尾道デニムショップ」では、ローカルの人の手（脚？）によって、味のあるユーズドデニムを育てていくプロジェクトが進行中。店内には“生産者の顔がわかる野菜”ならぬ、どんな人が穿いていたかわかるタグ付きのデニムがずらり。一本一本異なるヒゲの入り方や色落ちに、ストーリーを感じます。

Did you know that Onomichi and the Bingo Region (an old name for the eastern part of Hiroshima Prefecture) is one of the world’s denim production centers? At the Onomichi Denim Shop, check out their ongoing fashion project where quality jeans are given to local workers in various fields to wear and distress the natural way—through the daily grind of an honest day’s work. Here the jeans on display have a tag noting the occupation of the original owner, not unlike how an organic market displays its vegetables along with the name of the farmer. Each pair sports different whisker and fade patterns—and each tells its own story. ・
