【#Uonuma, Niigata】Established in 1922, Hakkaisan is one of Niigata’s premier sake breweries. #Hakkaisan ’s yukimuro, or snow room, is a storehouse containing 1,000 tons of snow to keep the sake cool. The storage method is made possible because of the plentiful snow the region receives, and as a result the #sake that is stored here acquires a mellow taste. The yukimuro is definitely worth a visit, and don’t forget to also take in the beautiful, award-winning architecture of the building.
