Great win for Osaka. This was her best match in some time. Very consistent and didn't give Ostapenko many chances. Ostapenko going for broke almost every time, and too many times ended up dumping the ball into the net.
Osaka looks thinner, faster, more athletic. Her forehand is so much sharper than it had been in her comeback to this point, and her serve has more pop on it. Great to see! Osaka in top form is great for tennis.
