Naomi Osaka has split from ‘THE COACH’ Patrick Mouratoglou after less than a year. The partnership did not prove fruitful for Naomi who only won a WTA 125 title on the circuit below the main tour level in France earlier this year. The former World Number 1 and 4 time grand slam champion has struggled for form and consistency since returning to the tour last year and has not made it back to the top of the rankings. The move to work with Mouratoglou came as Naomi said she wanted to have no regrets in tennis but it seems like the pressure of working with Serena Williams’ former coach took its tole on Naomi as she talked about feeling like she let down her coach as she didn’t live up to the greats he had coached previously.

I don't know if this will work either as Naomi's game is quite one dimensional as is Iga's. But that's why it's a "trial". I'm not sure about this one either – Goran with Jasmine Paolini. Ummm, nope. Don't get it! Lol. 😂
Yes. There is a trial period with Wiktoroski. I saw video of practice this morning. I heard the discussion of Naomi putting pressure on herself feeling she had to live up to Serena & letting Patrick down. So now she goes to Iga’s past coach? Talk about out of the frying pan & into the fire….🔥 How is she going to deal with those expectations? Setting herself up for failure imo. She probably should go with a lesser known (probably female) low-key coach & not have all the media, the hype, & the attention. My 2cents
