　三菱地所株式会社は、福岡市中央区天神一丁目で進めている「（仮称）天神1-7計画」の安全祈願祭を2024年5月15日に実施し、新築工事を開始。この計画は、旧イムの跡地にオフィス、ホテル、商業施設を一体化した複合ビルを建設するプロジェクトです。2022年8月には福岡市の「天神ビッグバンボーナス」に認定され、竣工は2026年12月末を予定しています。また、アメリカ・瞬間発のホテルブランド「エースホテル」が出店し、これがアジアで２施設目となります。
　かつてイムズは、「情報受発信基地」をコンセプトに、文化や情報を発信する先進的商業施設として誕生しました。しかし35年が経過し、技術革新や国際化、生活スタイルの変化により、新たな役割を担う施設が必要とされたことにより、新ビルの建設となりました。
　Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd. will hold a safety prayer festival on May 15, 2024 for the Tenjin 1-7 Project (tentative name), which is currently underway in Tenjin 1-chome, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City, and will begin new construction work. This project is to construct a mixed-use building that integrates offices, hotels, and commercial facilities on the site of the former Imu. It will be certified as Fukuoka City’s “Tenjin Big Bang Bonus” in August 2022, and completion is scheduled for the end of December 2026. In addition, Ace Hotel, a hotel brand originating from the United States, will open a store, and this will be its second facility in Asia.
In the past, IMS was born as an advanced commercial facility that disseminated culture and information based on the concept of “an information receiving and transmitting base.” However, 35 years later, due to technological innovation, internationalization, and changes in lifestyles, a new building was needed as a facility to fulfill a new role was needed.
