I remember going to a Foster and Allen concert with my partner and his mum, I had loved Foster and Allen since my early twenties. Halfway though, I noticed him and his mum laughing together and she said "I`m so fecking bored, I could go home right now" I had to make `fan` conversation with other people. I wouldn`t mind but I was the only non Irish person amongst them.
My dear Mum was Maggie… we lost her to cancer three years ago and she joined my Dad whom we lost over 30yrs ago. They're now buried together and I still can't visit their graves without crying. I miss them so much and this masterpiece always brings me to tears. God bless our parents. We were truly loved by the best.
My sweet Mammy was called Maggie .She loved listening to Foster and Allen so did my Da they are reunited in heaven now this song is beautiful it makes me smile thinking of my mammy such a beautiful soul ❤
We played this as the 1st song at my Dad's service yesterday as folk entered, Meatloaf heaven can wait, the Foster and Allen's Tie a yellow ribbon to send folks away with a smile xxxx
