  1. I cried at this video. Love it. It is so true with every professional asian woman living in an industry dominated by white guys.

  2. Random comment, but I was under the impression that narrow hips were beneficial in ballet!!? No?!

  3. After a year, still look up for this commercial from time to time, to find strength in myself, and try to pass inner strength to other. Thank you for the beautiful story.

  4. My 7yr old girl just got distinction in an international dancing exam. Her body was stiff and legs not flexible. The teacher warned that she might consider to quit as she might not have the potential. My girl wanted to give up too. I showered her this video, explaining to her the story of this beautiful lady. She loved it, and understood the deep meaning behind it vaguely though. And she practiced hard, working on every little small movement. And she become 1of the 3 best Dancers in her class! Thank you for the inspiration for an ordinary person!! We will continue to fight !

  5. There are a shift of gender roles in the video as ballet dancers is considered to be recreational activities for most asian people. Now, Ms. Misa Kuranaga managed to break the convention and made it a full time career, kudos! – SKII official

  6. Okay, i admit now that this brand has the ability to show us powerful message

  7. Misa, you inspire me so much. I don’t have a stereotypical ballet body and constantly find myself feeling down on myself because of it. But it’s because of you and other ballerinas breaking that stereotype that inspires me to keep on pushing and as long as I work hard and believe in myself I can do it! 💖💖💖

  8. I remember when I was watching this when I was just 8 years old. It inspired me so much to become a ballet dancer. But, I didn't know back then how much effort and persistence it takes to be one. And, in the end I didn't continue my ballet classes. I started a little late for ballet, many people are 3 or 4 years old and I was the oldest in class. I guess it was just a child's dream after all, to look graceful on that stage. Though I'm 15 now I still don't know what I should do with my life, well it's definitely not ballet since it's rather hard to catch up at this age…… and the amount of effort wasn't very fit for me

  9. This video inspired me to do ballet as a child. But the dream is gone. With all the money you gotta spend for lessons just to keep going and reaching new heights….my parents couldn't let me continue….and at one point it was just a child's dream
