I always thought Goto’s CANDY would perfectly fit for a cyberpunk film. Everytime I listen to that song, I liked to imagine a futuristic scenario with giant crazy robots, advanced weapons and technology. Coincidentally, I had just watched Masamune Shirow’s Appleseed movie, directed by Shinji Arakami, and immediately thought how perfect it would be if Candy and Appleseed joined. It was all inside my head, watching the movie while imagined the song playing and viceversa.
Knowing little about video editing, I asked a friend for help; and despite some small mistake in the name of the artist (technically it should be SWEET BLACK feat. MAKI GOTO), I really liked the final result!
Today’s also September 23rd, so, I can also say Happy Birthday to the person who has been a very important part in my life! I’ll always keep in my heart those 12 years of happiness, joy, laughs and also tears. Where I even worshipped her to the level of a Goddess, my one and only. Happy Birthday Maki! I hope one day you decide to return and enlighten us again. 🙂
