As someone who has been proud to share the beauty of Asian heritage through my brand and philosophy, the recent acts of violence against the AAPI community have weighed heavily on my heart. I have taken time to quietly reflect on how these events have troubled our friends, family and community. In times like these, it is important to come together in joy and denounce hatred and racism.

A few years ago, my father advised me to “cherish your foundation and where you came from,” a lesson that I find rings true more than ever. I am proud of my heritage and want my children to grow up feeling comfortable cherishing theirs too. I hope that my platform is a joyful space for celebrating Asian culture, people and history.

I have seen the outpouring of love, support and action and how it has uplifted our community during this difficult time. I am hopeful that together, we can create lasting change.
